Yep, we are doing two. We're doing two because the dragon is awesome and everyone has a blast, so why the fuck not two? Thats right. No reason. Two. Need to see what weekend works best for everyone.

If you havent been to one yet, here is the general location for where we stay.
Fontana Village Resort, 300 Woods Road, Yellow Creek, NC




I drive 6 hours to get there from where I am now and it is always worth the trip. If you havent been to one, you really need to.

FAQ:

Q: "Demi, I dont know any of you guys IRL. I feel a little weird about drive upteen hours to hang with a bunch of random dudes."

A: Thats not really a fucking question but I know what you're saying. Most of us didnt know each other the first time, and each time there are new folks. It takes about 5 minutes of car talk before everyone is joking like they have known each other forever.

Q: "What are the sleeping arrangements/accommodations?"

A: Fontana Village is pretty nice. The cabins are 3-4 bedroom, and everyone gets their own bed*.

Q: "I have a built motor, and everyone knows that you only get 10,000 miles out of one of those. Is it worth the drive?"

A: Facepalm. Yes its worth it, try not to curb that shit on the way.

Q: "What exactly do you do there?"

A: Drive up and down some of the most fun and beautiful roads in the country, meet and talk to car guys, and cook steaks and drink beer. Hard to beat.

Q: "I see a state trooper pulled you over. Is the cop presence an issue?"

A: No. That was on the way to the Dragon. There really isnt anywhere for cops to hide on the dragon, or much opportunity to speed with as tight as a lot of the turns are. Also the cops leave the dragon alone for the most part because its such a big draw for tourists.

I know I will be planning the annual Mitsu's Take On the Dragon (MTOD) here over the next month. If people cant make it to this meet in April, we have ours Mid June each year. Dates this year are June 9th-16th.

We hit up the Dragon one day, rally over to either Diamondback or Devil's Triangle another day and then just hit up the local attractions much of the rest. Good chance to relax, get away, enjoy what these cars were made for and meet some new people (and drink way to much, not that many need an excuse for that).
