Thanks Doc that was helpful. As for right now all I plan on doing for now is intake, exhuast, and a flash tune for performance so the Cobb would work if I can get a good enough deal on one. If not a buddy told me there is a Dyno in Witchita, KS that was pretty decent at tuning, but I would have to check them out first before considering that. As for my questions, the DP/CP is my biggest thing does it make a huge difference to put in a test pipe and replace everything or is simply replacing the stock DP sufficient untill I start upgrading things like turbo, injectors, etc.

the cat pipe will be better gains than a DP, and just watch the for sale forums for a used AP i bought mine new and it wasnt worth the $500 they cost, you can get them used $3-400 on here. i sold mine for like 350 i think

Is there a major difference between 1 piece DP's that replace both the DP&CP and replacing each one individually with a DP and a test pipe with a resonator or high flow cat? I would prefer just to replace it with a single pipe (less shit to come loose one day) than two different pipes, but if it makes a mechanical/performance difference then I will do whatever is better for the car.

Sorry man was just joshing with you! Best of luck with the new wheels.

Couple things to note about the DP:

Takes 5 hours to do, get the AMS unit.

Don't skimp on cheap mods!

Thanks Wraith I will check it out, the 5 hours part is the reason I would prefer to only take this apart one time and just do it all right the first time. Does the AMS unit replace the DP and the cat pipe or just the DP?

Just replaces the 02 housing and downpipe. You'll need a testpipe to eliminate the cat.

Any other brands of DP people recommend? Price is a bit steep, but if its the best one for my car then so be it. As for a TP I will just get whatever brand matches the DP I get, then hook up the Borla cat back pipes.

IMO, the only downpipes worth getting and installing are the AMS and the Tomei.. unless you want a O2 dump.. then get the ETS O2 eliminator pipe
