What would you think it would look like on chrome? My buddy just bought a new F-150 with mega chrome rims. I was thinking do either the smoke to see what it looks like. If it looks terrible, we will do a black base with that silver metalizer on top.

No, don't use the tint....not gonna look right at all. Black with Metalizer sounds nice though.

Alright folks, all finished up for the night. Two colors down, one more left to go. I'll take some outside pictures for you in the morning.

About that. How do yo pull the tape when it's still wet? I'm assuming you did 3-4 coats, so by the time the last coat is applied, the first coats have cured or dried. This happened to me on my tail light project, I pulled the tape off while the 4th coat was still wet, and I got slight jagged/torn edges from the first layers having been setup. It still looks good, and you have to look real close to tell, but I'd like it to be a cleaner line.

And btw, OMG your car is soooo cuuuurazy! Great job!!

That's your problem. You don't let the coats dry at all. Soon as it starts to dry....lay down another coat. Keep doing this until the area is totally covered then pull off the tape right away before it dries.

When I'm pulling off the tape the dip is still very wet. Like I said before, it takes some skill and practice to lay it thick enough to cover the base color, but not to thick it starts to run.

Practice makes perfect as they say!
