Just bought a Prius V

So as some of you may know this morning I tried driving my Evo X in snow and it didn't turn out so well. And I thought to myself that I really don't want to be driving the Evo in snow because of the salt and what not. My CLS63 obviously will never see snow. So I decided to buy a DD today. Ended up going to the Toyota dealer and walked out with a Prius V after 30 minutes. I'm sure I will get flamed for buying a Prius, but I like it. Has a huge trunk area and is environmentally friendly even though I drive two other cars that aren't...lol. I'll probably throw some TE37's on it and call it a day. I've only driven it 3 miles so far so can't really give a good review.

Re: Just bought a Prius V

So you got a 2wd car instead of just putting winter tires on the car that's meant to destroy the winter? Lol oh well.. your money

Lol yup basically. My girlfriend has been wanting to trade her car in for a hybrid so I was like whatever I'll just buy it and she can drive it to and I can drive her car or vice versa.

You will soon learn to hate the high maintenance and very low quality of the Mitsu - compared to the Toyota. The Toyota dealer networks are soo much better to deal with - they actually fix stuff on their cars.

The Evo isn't as high maintenance as the Merc. I don't think I will ever get tired of the low quality of the Evo. I had a Evo IX for 5 years and I loved the car for everything it was. But I agree with you on the Toyota dealer networks being ten fold above Mitsubishi.

In unrelated news did anyone see that the official 2014 GT-R pricing has been released? 100k for the premium and 110k for the black edition? Very very very enticing....I want SO bad.

Not trying to flame here, but have to give my honest opinion on this:

The batteries for hybrids destroy the environment. Require extensive and damaging mining and are difficult to dispose of after their use cycles run out. Better off getting a efficient small and light car or just staying out of boost in the evo.

As mentioned above, the evo is really the ultimate winter car. It's unbelievable how confidence inspiring the awd, suspension, and road feel can be. Undercoat if you're worried about corrosion and throw on some snow tires.

Want to save the environment and get through winter? Don't buy another car!!! ^__^
