lol I assure you most of these guys are the real deal. I race with most of them. joel with the new green dodge is insanelyfast - he runs nasa se with me. all the other guys are friends of mine from pro touring scene - I also have a 68 mustang fastback that I ran in the optima challenge in vegas a few years back. joel is within a second of me when I am running my nascar sprint cup car at road atlanta - I usually turn a 1:30 to 1:31 there. I also have a 2013 evo x mr that I love and I race it at the smaller tracks like cmp and roebling in TTU in place of my stock car since 830 hp is a bit much for those tracks. all of the people on the show are very knowlegeable and leading edge in keeping their old cars up to date and I would not be surprised if they are right up there with the GTR 's.

I am glad to be able to keep a foot on both sides of the issue - I can honestly say I love my evo - its amazing but I love my old cars and nascar too. I guess I just love cars.

Just because they live a country lifestyle doesn't mean they're redneck. My mother's homestead still has dirt floors down in Corbin. That's redneck. Men who can build high dollar machines like this? Not very redneck.

Rednecks can drive the piss out of cars. 90% of the people racing with my brother are rednecks including him lol. Here's a video to check out of my brother. Not trying to jack your thread but I thought you might find this interesting. He's 19 years old

I know northerners from PA that are MUCH bigger rednecks than anyone I know in TN. They have Philly accents, but they're all redneck for sure! So "southern country folks" doesn't cover it.
