to whoeever hated on the nt-05, at the price they sell at how can you? theyre just so damn cheap. i got my 275s for under $200 a corner. IMO thats a steal.

glad you caught the change, if youre really hating them im sure you could sell the set here...if you can do that to your dad haha.

I have mine at 34psi and they feel fine to me. They squealed on the track, but they squeal a bit before they actually lose traction. On the track, if you're sliding a little bit, just add a bit of throttle and you're out of it. I agree that the V12 doesn't make you feel super confident but it does have a decent amount of a grip. I drive pretty aggressively on a daily basis and have done multiple canyon runs on these tires.

i would, but i couldn't do that to my dad. he's never bought me anything car related ever so i want to promote this type of behavior

I hope they work out....my understanding on them is the tread wear is really good...so they are not gonna "need" replacing for a while.... could sell and then purchase something more your speed. Regardless your dad rocks!

but comparing a v12 against a StarSpec is absolutely silly

they're two completely different class of tire. Hell, Hankook makes the RS3 and the v12 - they're obviously not the same category of tire

most of the v12 hate is bad research/expectations. v12's are definitely a good high-mileage/pure DD tire option.

The problem is the Hankook V12 is advertised as a Max Performance Summer tyre - which it clearly is NOT.

The Ventus V12 evo is designed to combine comfort and control in dry and wet road conditions. Yeah, the V12 is an average run-of-the-mill $140 tyre and probably gets good tread wear. But it is CLEARLY NOT a max performance summer tyre.

ditto. i dont agree with the v12's statement above. this tire is made for your average joe driving a honda civic/camry/accord/optima. the v12 is not for anything sporty. not with this type of sidewall. just came back from lunch and even my coworkers are telling me the car feels like it's floating in air through turns. i did check my tire pressure and it was @ 31psi. i put it up to 34psi as mentioned by menasor and it does seem to help a little. but it might just be my korean imagination kicking in, wanting to like/support a korean company. we do like to support each other...
