After discovering the faulty Panasonic battery, the dumbass mechanic apparently installed an incorrect battery. Could this cause any damage to the car?
They have a new battery on order, but it is taking 4 business days to get here. I am fine waiting as much time as necessary due to the 30 day requirement for a lemon law. If additional maintenance is required, I want to make sure I have all my eggs in one basket for legal recourse. |

Basically the person who sold me the car (JC) told me it was a prior leased vehicle with flawless maintenance history. Me being the impulse buyer that I am made the fatal mistake of not getting that on paper. Turns out there is 0 history on the cars maintenance and that they have no way of even checking if it was financed or leased by the first owner. I highly recommend staying AWAY from this dealer. I'll remove this post if I ever get favorable service to tip the scale in their favor. |

Now if he installed it reverse polarity, and switched the ignition on, then MANY things *could* have been damaged or fried including the alternator diodes, most electronic components (radio, ECM, assorted computers, etc.). Other than the alternator, you didn't mention any of those issues iirc. |

My Panasonic battery must be one of the few that were good. It's still going strong.2008.
