Yeah, VG's are pretty much useless on the X, especially with the stock wing, or any of the X specific wings out there.

They're still pretty shitty. I'm just waiting to burn mine off so I can get better street/track pads.

why bother when the DS2500's exist? Screw the Hawks, get the Ferodos and have Chet tune it.

I'm pretty sure the vortex generators on the X don't do shit, unless you're only going for the look.

That's pretty much the idea. I'm an Aerospace Engineer, I know that unless I'm going over 100, and have an actual racing wing on the back, the downforce is negligible.

Ok, probably a good idea to stay away from them then. So are these DS2500's street/track pads? If so, what are their noise and dust characteristics as well as braking benefits? Any others I should look into in multiple budget ranges?

Yep. The DS2500's are in my opinion the best dual-purpose pad you can get. Low noise, fantastic at the track. I can't comment on dust, I never paid attention.

Cool! What brake lines are good?

So far I'm removing the HPS Pads, and adding a 3 port and dual-purpose pads.
