Props to English Racing
Afternoon folks,
I just wanted to give respect where respect is due. I have a 2012 PB GSR. I had some stuff installed (it's in my sig) and got a couple of the pieces installed by English Racing while I was waiting for my dyno tune. Well, it was an afternoon on a Friday and of course something went wrong. Long story short, most other shops would have told me to suck it up, fork over some money to fix the problem, and have a nice day. English racing not only didn't charge me an extra dime for a mistake that may or may not have been their fault, but they went above and beyond. They got me a rental car for a week, took it to the dealer for troubleshooting and used all their knowledge and contacts to fix the problem. A week later the car was fixed, dyno'd and tuned and it cost me nothing more than what they had originally quoted me for a dyno tune and the parts install. The problem could have easily escalated to "Get a new ECU" should they have desired to go that route and it would have cost me an extra 700 bucks. So, my hats off to English Racing, especially to Aaron for doing what he does best. Finding a solution to a problem that seems hopeless. Hats off to Myles for the awesome customer support, and hats off to Lucas for owning the place and having a score of knowledgeable employees to work on these cars. Thanks English.

Yeah, that's a cool story.
But can you explain what the problem was for us? Sounds to me like they must have felt responsible for this problem. Not that this degrades from the awesomeness of the fact that they stepped up and took care of you right. Mistakes happen. So what happened? |

ECU got bricked while trying to load the ROM. Completely froze up and became unresponsive. Wouldn't communicate at all, so of course the car wouldn't start. Aaron worked his magic, got it reprogrammed and continued as normal.
