SpeedCircuit has mounted those aerocatch pins before, and I have seen em before in person at the shop, and they were stellar. Weird that shop wouldnt do it.

That's what I thought, too. But they've always done right by me and my family (i.e. my parents graduated with the owner and four of the six guys working there went to high school with me, lol).

I would def call around and see if a shop can or will do it for you. I have a cf hood, not varis but do not have any pins and I haven't had an issue.

Wow Eyler I really hope I don't run into the same problem as you. English Racing said they'd mount my hood with the pins for me and I have the VSDC / Aerocatch flush like you did. Guess I'll find out in 2 weeks...

Really? i installed the aero catches just fine on my Varis.

no problems.

the only regret is not putting the aerocatches closer to the natural line in the hood.. (that was the shop's call) due to the rubber foot print where the OE hood goes, which prevents the hood from slight vibration. But because the AeroCatches come with rubber inserts, it really won't vibe at all. There is a NATURAL place on the radiator frame support to put the pins, and you wont have to drill into the plastic for the radiator/upper intercooler cover plastic.. you can go up to line just fine.. as for the hood sitting 'higher'? well thats fine.. you can make the pins go 'higher'.. there is plenty of thread after being locked into the radiator support
