Nothing wrong with the Wally 450. It's like the most used pump for the evo.
If you are tracking the car, you might want to look into a surge tank, or the radium fuel basket.
In high G turns, this car is susceptible to fuel starvation once you up the power.
I ran into this at 500whp (mustang) even in a straight line. So kozmic made a custom surge tank with external aeromotive fuel pump. Works like a charm

Well anytime you push it accidents can happen. I was on stock turbo e85 and a rod came out lol. Thats why Im building
Ive heard nothing different about 1300 vs 1700 as far as drivability.
Id guess dynojet numbers around 500whp. I’d just keep that torque under 400 and not drive it in freezing weather lol.

Thanks for the reply!
Any idea what sort of power I can expect with the upgrades I've noted? I'm certainly not opposed to going with the aem pump, or upgrading a bit to the 1700cc injectors. Is there a downside with running 1700s vs 1300s? The most safe power I can get is my ultimate goal. I don't want to push the engine beyond its limits, but I want to get the most out of my upgrade investment as well.

I'm currently doing something similar but shooting for a bit more HP.
if you are shooting for 450hp or so I'd go with an AEM340. the aem should be good for 600hp on a dynojet. the wally450 can cause cavitation in the stock pump housing. its just too small to keep that up. Also you dont have to worry about drilling out the orifice and running hardwire.
I wish that the ID1700's were available when I bought my 1300's. Just gives you way more head room.
If you are on the stock BOV id get a Tial QRJ. Mine worked really really well.
everything else looks good IMO

Spending some $$ on upgrades, want to make sure I'm doing it right
Hey all, I have an '08 X.
Current "engine" mods:
3" turbo back Greddy with Test Pipe
3" ETS Intercooler
ETS CIA and piping
Full tune at Boostin' Performance in Chicago
Currently making 325hp/350tq at the wheels on a Mustang
I took the car to the track last year and had an absolute blast. I'd really like to up the power, and am curious what you guys think about my plan. Anything I would need/should add. Any estimate of power at the wheels with the below modifications? I want to make sure I do it all right the first time so I don't end up spending another $500-1000 on re-tuning it.
My plan is:
TF06 18k Turbo
Walbro 450 fuel pump
GSC S2 Cams (and upgrades springs)
Driven Fab Flex Fuel Kit
Full Tune for E85/93/Race gas
I'm hoping for at least 450hp at the wheels espeically with E85, though honestly I would expect more from the setup. Any issues with safety of the engine? Anything people would recommend.
