MyRariEvo Just sharing my experience. Right when I got my X I got in touch with TPG as my bestfriend has worked with them throughout his build. They gave me great service from the beginning from troubleshooting to choosing modifications etc. Although I can say they were quite busy during the summer they still took the time to handle the little guy. Overall great customer service and if they werent so far away i'd probably be going there more often.

As for anyone whom has to deal with dealerships for warranties etc. My personal advice is to be very up front but polite. I just had to get an ACD pump replaced and I know they have the write to void your warranty with mods. I called them and right from the begginning let them know my situation and that I didnt want to waste their time nor my own so if they would deny me because of modifcations to let me know before I even came in. End all be all I was taken care of and very impressed with a dealer.. which I know can be rare.

Shops & Vendors; Choosing one, working with one, and dealing with issues.

Hey Folks,
To add to the thread, I certainly agree with Hollywood's proposition , expectations, and a natural route in choosing a shop/tuner/vendor etc. In fact a very general rule of thumb is that two parties have to mitigate any differences in order to move forward together. Having said that Sun doesn't shine everyday.

Anyhow my experiences so far :

I was extremely new to JDM EVO x scene and I had an etune from Hollywood in 2013 and I was AMAZED to see this mans promptness and his care. The man called me immediately whenever I gave him a SOS. Although, I was not a fan of doing pulls or the whole logging process considering where I live and the nuisance associated but I totally enjoyed Hollywood's backing up strategy. You are good man.

:Moderate work done and a Pro Tune:

Recently I decided and pulled the trigger to drop my car to ESPEC Industries (NY) for a minor/moderate build and a tune.

The experience was great. The budget was set and locked, work was started immediately and the car was ready to go on time. The man Erkel was phenomenal, extremely prompt and updated me at all levels.

The car feels awesome.

The key for me is communication and that too effective communication. It sets a bench mark to further cement the ties and initiate a collaboration.

Thanks to Hollywood and Mr. Erkel So far so good.

Masheen I have very good relations with Tach Motorworks in Oceanside, Long Island. They are thorough and responsive, not to mention nice as hell. If you from the boroughs or LI, definitely consider making the trip. Good peoples.

Leezon Funny you posted this Justin... I just went there today and got my springs installed (Only about 10mins from my house).

The shop is nice and you can clearly see they don't scrimp on buying equipment, they have some very nice gear and the shop was filled with some very nice cars... although mostly Nissan.

They gave me a great price on the spring install compared to others and I'd use them again for mechanic part installs... but not so much tuning Evo's as VQ's are Vinny's specialty.. not Evo's.

Shops & Vendors; Choosing one, working with one, and dealing with issues.

Everyone needs to remember that patience is key to success or at lest not spitting rods out of the oil pan if the money isn't there to do it right don't do it Seems like lots of problems stem from cheep parts or a cheep tune
