rear left suspension sound
need some help here, my car is a rebadged lancer, a proton inspira.
it shares the same suspension parts apart from the absorber. about a year ago, after going through a big puddle of water, this sound came out, it always happens when im on uneven roads with potholes.
the dealer here changed the shocks, but it didnt help.
perhaps anyone can share some insight into this? it disappears after a few weeks of driving in dry conditions, but it will recur once i go through a big puddle of water.
I am suspecting something from the bushing, could this be the bushings in between the shocks and absorber mounting?
it is pretty distressing as it gets pretty loud. :(
I have a clunking sound on my rear driver side suspension as well. I have Zeal Function Type X coilovers installed on the car and they have already been overhauled by Endless USA. I have read somewhere that the clunk is due to the design of the top portion of suspension clanking onto the body. I have always thought of insulating the portion where the suspension meets the body of the car with foam, however I am selling the car as we speak. Perhaps you can give that a try.
