Just downloaded Harry's Lap Time. How do guys mount you iPhone so that it is secure on the track?

Ram mount makes a good solid iphone mount.

Agree, I use the RAM RAP-B-166-2-AP6U (got through amazon) to mount my 3GS. There should be one for the 4/4s if you have one.

Whatever mount you use, make sure there is space at the bottom to plug the Emprum Ultimate GPS dongle into the phone. Harry's Lap Timer is useless without it.

I found a car kit made by TomTom it's now discontinued but I got it for under $80 shipped. It combines a suction cup window mount with a gps receiver. I've tested it out a bit and it certainly gets better signal than my iphone 4 does by itself. Combining that with HLT should be good enough for my needs.

The ram mounts seem to work the best - I can mount my Iphone up on the area by the rearview mirror even though the area is not all smooth glass, some of the mount's suction cup ends up over the dots that surround the rear view.
