I actually have a friend with an evo8 who bags on the new evo x, but I asked him is it because you didnt wait for the evox he said ya most likely lol

Ditto. I thought my wingless WRX looks were to die for...they still are to me but the X falls into a whole different catagory of beauty. It's looks are modern and STYLISH as opposed to the Impreza being more of a classic look. 'And when they are parked next to each other I'll be damned if Impreza doesn't look like an ugly duckling. It shocked the crap outta' me the first time I saw that! My baby is ugly yikes I said to myself!!!

Point being this has to be scary to alot of the 8/9 owners. Here's a brand new re engineered "Evo" that's light years ahead in many catagories ie styling, comfort, noise, awd system...dare I say handling lol. It's human nature to hate the new kid on the block....that is until they get to know him better (or he kicks their asses to gain respect)

So we are the new kids on the block (sic)...and sooner or later they will warm to us. This is a forum for rebels...willing to take a chance on a 1st year car. We are out on a limb here and sticking together. Good forum for sure

Heres the great thing Moose. You dont have to feel like you need to defend the car here. This forum is dedicated to the Evo X enthusiast.

And I was thinking guys, this forum is really nothing. Its the USERS (which means you) that make this forum so great. This is definitely a rare place right now. People are actually having debates over things WITHOUT flaming. I cant tell you how nice that is! Heres hoping that the quality of the Evo X driver continues to be so good!

"I'll give up a better interior to a car that performs better, looks better, and has a distinct personality - the Evo X." (Motortrend response when comparing a BMW 135i to the Evo X)
