Car washes

Do they F up your alignment? The ones where the wheel goes in the rail. Just curious.

I don't think so, but those machines that "scrub" the car could cause minor paint scratches you never know.

I have an unlimited membership at this car wash near my place but don't want to use it, if it causes me to have to get an alignment every time I want to track

I've never heard it causing any problem they only roll it in a straight line anyways. But I hope you don't have really expensive rims.

It scratches them? I hadn't noticed. I'm running stock GSR wheels, I was going to paint them white though. (make them look more Rally themed)

What type of carwash are you talking about? Are you talking about the one where the car is pulled by the front wheels? Or are you talking about the one where guys wash your car and they lift it up in the air? Or are you talking about a straight hand car wash?

You drive into a rail similar to the picture below. Then it pulls/pushes the car through.

I doubt it would, but you never know. Like justnelson said those drive thru car washes beat the paint and leave swirlies. So that's reason enough for me not to use them.

Since your in Austin does any HEB's have a completely touchless car wash? No scubbers, just soap and water touch your car, when I'm feeling lazy I use the one near me.

You will be fine. Might get some swirl marks, since it's not a touchless wash & also some water spots. It's a plus too if there is an attendant guiding you into the slot, like there is at the wash by me that is like that.
