Causes of hard starts associated with fuel pressure

Can anybody please tell me how should fuel pressure react when the car is off? Does this eventually taper to 0 with moded fuel system? (injectors, fuel pump, widened orifice)

My car has hard starts and I know it's because it takes a while for fuel pressure to build up during starts. It always gets to a start but lags terribly. I'm currently tuned by a reputable tuner. I've heard it can be check valves in fuel pump but are here any other factors that can lead to struggling fuel pressure buildup?

My setup runs great at WOT and have no issues except this one.

How long does it take to crank up? I've got a 2011 MR with ID1300s, Walbro 450 and below half a tank mine always takes a while to start too. Say, 1-2 seconds of cranking before the car fires up. Above full, it's on key turn.

I did an experiment and disconnected my boost gauge for a few weeks, and didn't have that issue. I don't know how to explain or if it was just a fluke. Maybe
