Cobb OTS Map vs AMS Tune

Hey guys, so its about time I finally buy some parts and update my signature. I'm planning on ordering the following parts within the next week or so:

Corsa Catback
Cobb AP
Cobb SF Intake
Cobb intake Shield

I'm debating on either just using the Cobb OTS map or getting a tune from AMS. I know OTS maps are pretty conservative but I was wondering if it would even be worth it for me to get dyno tune from AMS since I'm not really buying that many parts.

I'm dead set on getting an AP for my own reasons and I don't want to go the route of Tatrix + E-tune.

I don't plan on buying more parts in the near future and I am ok with paying the premium that AMS charges. I just don't know if the gains I'd get from an AMS tune vs the OTS map would be worth it.

I was set on the AP before too but, if you plan on going bigger turbo go with the Open Source software. I ended up dropping the AP after my FP red build. If you stay with the AP definitely get the AMS tune. I noticed I had more knock counts on the OTS tunes the pro-tune should clear those up. Good luck with your build.

How bad was the knock count? Iím planning on staying at my school for the summer but will be home in Chicago for a couple weeks to install parts and possibly get the tune from AMS. Is it bad enough where I should get the tune while Iím back or could I last the summer on the OTS map?

I was getting form 6 counts up to 15 sometimes on my "low boost/eco". This was all out of boost. Could've been "phantom knock" but I ended up getting re-pro-tuned by Cobb Plano again. There should be a thread in my history about it or it might be on the other forum.

*Note* Cobb Plano is no more and Calvin no longer works for them. The re-tune got all the kinks out.
