New HKS SqvIII 'D' boost drive controller

Hi,

looks like this (http://www.hks-power.co.jp/db/produc...%20Line-up.pdf) kit enables you to work in positive boost, but I can't quite understand its functionning.
Anyone know about it? Does it replace the factory solenoid?

Cheers,
AJ

That has been out for a while, Turbosmart has one now too. It's just a BOV that opens when you lift off the throttle, digitally, rather than by the pressure change. It reads info from the ECU so when you pull off the throttle (or push the button) the BOV opens.

Doubt it, I've seen the videos... I thought it would be more responsive too, but the compressor surge is still massive.

Thats called compressor surge...the turbo being forced to spin the opposite way. Check out Synchronic BOVs...piston based BOV is the way to go...

This is for a diesel application I believe. It works on cars that do not open and close the throttle.
