Turbo selection

Hey team I am new to this forum stuff so sorry if I make some. Mistakes haha
Right so I have a 2001 evo 7 thinking of upgrading the turbo on it. Motor internally is factory still. Mods I have done are
Link ecu
Kelford 272 came
1000cc injectors
255 walbro fuel pump
Grimme speed boost solenoid
3 inch stainless steel exhaust
Have had it tuned making 243kw on 22psi
I am wanting a turbo that will get me 260 to 290kw for nw. But also when I do build the motor I wana use that same turbo. Aiming for the 350 400kw mark when I build the motor.
What turbo do you guys recommend or has anyone done this before?
Cheers Bhavish 😊

260 factored to 340 ish HP
400 factored to 550 ish HP

If youre looking for brake engine power then that is definitely doable on a stock IX turbo, for the 260-290 range. To get to the 400kw range I would say youre looking at a "red-spec" sized turbocharger.

If you want this power to the ground, then youre going to have to look a little deeper on what youre willing to sacrifice on that low power goal to get you to that high power goal later. Your budget will determine what you decide on and what you can sacrifice. As far as a turbo that has that broad of a range, the best I could think of is something like the EFR series of turbos.

There's a few new stock frame turbo's on the market anyone in the same boat could explore. 400kw DD (650whp DJ) is easily doable with a very streetable unit, so is 450kw DD at reasonable boost levels (720whp DJ).
