SST New Mechatronic Coding/VIN Write Issues

Hello Everyone,

I just had the mechatronic unit on my 2013 EVO X replaced. We are trying to write the VIN and do the Coding. We are using the MUTIII software from Mitsubishi and have a valid subscription. We have downloaded the .KON file from their site and put it in the appropriate folder. According to their guide, the first step is to write the VIN. When we attempt to write the VIN to the Mechatronic unit, it gives us an error of "Not Supported: This function is not supported by the ECU". I'm wanting to see if we are missing something? We can plug the old mechatronic unit in, and it allows us to write the VIN using that one, so I do not think it is an issue with the software. Can anyone point me in the right direction? We are starting to think the unit is DOA.
