no it wouldn't, you color the bulb itself, which you can't see. If you want just pure blue though, I don't think it would help.

Do you have any electronics made since blue LEDs came out? Those things are blinding. Subtle is not a word I would use to describe them at all.

I agree with you, it just requires some extra work to make them look reasonable.

Only on my homebrew pc with a clear case, and your right, it's tough for them to be subtle, lol. Those things will light up my living room.

anybody know where to get purple/UV PLCC-2 LEDs in the US? All i see on ebay is overseas which will take a few weeks to get here

Im new at this, so excuse the ignorance, but this looks like an LED in some weird housing to me
