2008 Mitsubishi EvoX Photoshoot Prep

I was contacted by this customer two weeks ago, he found me through another friend. He had a photoshoot yesterday so we made an appointment to clean up his car on Friday, here are the results:

Minor swirls, only had 2 RIDS, not too bad for a never been detailed car:

Nasty looking Brembos:

All cleaned up, easily 15 minutes per wheel/brake, due to how low he was, I couldn't scrub tires or fender wells all that good....

2 wheels/brake calipers done, picture of me starting to work on them exhaust tips:

Me: Hey bro, are the inside of the exhaust tips painted?
Customer: Uh, I think so, I've never seen them any other color....

Me: You should come take a look at your tips.......
Customer: Holy OMFG, I never knew they were not painted, lol.

Since I wasn't using a rotary, I just taped up the plastic/rubber trims to prevent polish staining them:

The owner giving it a shot on the roof:

Owner: Hey! I can read my text message off the reflection!
Me: lol

Reflection and semi-artsy shots:

Since the sun was almost down by the time I got done, I used my Sun Gun for final inspection + picture:

Tools used:
Optimum car wash soap
2 buckets with grit guards
Cobra chenille mitts
Various brushes
P21s TAW & Gel wheel cleaner
Megs APC+ Diluted 3:1
IPA Diluted 1:1
GG6 with LC CCS Orange pads
Prima Swirl
GG3 with their own 3 inch orange pads
303 Aerospace protectant as tire shine
Plenty of blue tape
3M Sun Gun
Victoria Red Concour's as LSP

I hate it when people go wingless but don't fix the holes correctly. Looks so cheap.

Good job detailing, lol. I spend a lot of time keeping the wheels and brakes clean during the summer. CE28Ns are a bitch to keep tidy.

Oh shut it, you know what I mean. The owner left those little black clips in the holes and that looks silly.

I agree with the holes. Just lazy and cheap. And I have DPT's which are the exact design of the CE28s and I think they're a hell of a lot easier to keep clean than the stock GSR wheels.

Out loud laughter, yeah, he did. I didn't even notice that.

I managed to ding my trunk lid removing them. I was so proud of myself.

But, yeah, dude, remove those, buy some little rubber grommets, or something. The plastic clip just looks ridiculous.

Uh, you guys do realize the wing was only off so I can clean, clay, and polish the area underneath right?
The wing was put back on later that evening, lol.
