Lowering Springs

Hi everyone,
Just now going to start doing things to my '11 Evo GSR (Have had it for about 3 years). Back in the day I had lowering springs on my civic and eclipse and had terrible luck with camber issues and ate tires at an alarming rate to say the least. Looking for advice on going coilovers or springs. I live in Illinois where it does snow and I am not wanting to become a plow but I think its time that I address the awkward stance my car sits at stock. Any advice that would be great, thanks guys.

I think the general consensus would be to go with some nice coilovers like Ohlins, and drop maybe 1-2", any more than that and you're going to have a negative impact on the car's handling.
