So +1 for me too! I'd like to see if the IX wheels fit over our current gen brakes?
I'm going to pick up the IX wheels regardless tomorrow, so we will all know very soon enough! I figured it would require spacers since IX wheels are +28, and I think X wheels are +15?

$100 on spacers still beats $1,500 on new wheels and snow tires, especially when I got a set laying around!

Yeah, the IX is fully track prepped, not really street legal anymore, but it never really stopped me from driving it on the road! Take the slicks off and it's GO time!

Still curious about this - did you manage to find out if they fit w/ and w/o spacers?

17's will NOT fit on an Evo X period unless you switch out to Evo 8/9 brembos or run a mini brake kit.

There are some 17" wheels made by a company in Europe that will fit over the OEM X brakes. They're a company that specializes in rally wheels. I'd get those for doing some intermittent drag racing. Otherwise, if I was going to go through the trouble of small brake kit then I'd go with 15's and some nice slicks.

THIS

theres a guy in Canada that is running 17s that cleared the factory brembo brakes.

the older evo's 17s wont clear unless you swap over to their smaller brembos.
