Evo's clutch slipping

Whats going on everyone, Just wanted to know if anyone has experienced clutch slipping issues around 20k miles. Ive asked around a got a few answers and most people said yeah depends on how you drive it etc. but i just want more info as to whether or not if any of you have experienced this as well. Im sure theirs a certain area where i should be posting this thread but I'm new to the forums lol.
My mods include- Full Tomei exhaust
- Open dump downpipe
- ets intake
- top MAP intercooler piping
- Tial BOV

and thats all. Thanks a lot for taking time to read this.
Edit: Here and there i do pulls but i don't rev past 7k Lmao. car has 19617 miles on it

It's very common to burn the stock clutch up wiht low miles. A lot of people will launch it, and the stock clutch hydraulic system has a "pill" in it that restricts clutch release speed. It's great for launching, as its the perfect speed to pre-load everything the way it should be for a launch. It't no great for every other shift, since it does this "timed release" every time you use the clutch.

If I had removed mine when I got it, I'm sure my clutch would of lasted much longer. Just plan to remove it when you change the clutch out, it takes about a minute, and is part of the bleeding procedure you need to do anyway.

some guys are running 500AWHP and over 50k on a stock clutch. depends on your driving. launch the car will kill the clutch or maybe brake boosting as well.

I was at 57K miles when my stock clutch started to slip bad. Replaced it with the ACT HDSS unit with ACT light weight flywheel. Damn good street driven clutch combo!

That was exactly around the milage mine went up. Bought it @ 19,000....about 400 miles in, slipping. I was curious too if this is normal or the guy before me just couldn't drive. Because they said it was some old dude with a dog that was the 1st owner.

You definitely can get clutch slippage at 20k if you launch your car and haven’t taken out the clutch pill yet. The clutch pill helps smoothen out the engagement of the clutch, but it also burns out your clutch faster.

Best bet is to remove the clutch pill and just feel for the clutch with your foot instead.

Also, when you replace your clutch, make sure to also upgrade your clutch master cylinder, especially if you have a 2011 or earlier because the cmc will bust open when you install an upgraded clutch.

It’s all driving style. Technically your clutch could slip at 5k miles or less.

The Evo is a heavy AWD car and if you slip/ride the clutch a good bit starting in first.. it’s burning that clutch up. If your foot rests on the clutch pedal while driving, it’s burning that clutch. Especially launching etc.. but I’m guessing that the main problem is slipping the clutch more than necessary when starting to move. It’s not a vehicle that you have to rev up to 2k and ride the clutch for a couple seconds.

It does have to do with the power you’re running but it’s a lot more so your driving style. I’m at 63k miles so far and stock clutch is good as new.

Its all about driving style/habbits. When I used to work at the dealer I had customers
coming in with as little as 5k miles on their Civic Si with a bad clutch.
I have 103k on mine and still feels great.

Appreciate all the feedback. Just got a new Exedy stage 2 clutch and I'm putting it in sometime this week, Cant wait for more pulls haha. I've never launched the car but i do pulls here and there not to mention this is my daily. Im the second owner of the car and bought it with 15k miles that's why i was so confused as to why the clutch was slipping, anyways thanks again for the feedback.
