It def doesn't have the torque my evo does but on a closed track I was very impressed with how fast the 370 got up to north of 140mph... Fun little car!

When you say you test drove, do you mean at a dealership? Where did you get the opportunity to drive it on a closed track and get it above 140 if you don't mind me asking? I'm not far from you and uh... yea. I want to do that.

I would love to have a 370, but I refuse to give up my X for one! It's a condition I have, apparently, this AWD turbo addiction.

370Z and Evo X are both capable of low 13's bone stock. 370 will pull harder above 100MPH. Once I lost my 08 Evo X I spent some time driving the 370 and the G37 coupe. But I wasn't happy. Had to get me another Evo X. But a $350 custom tune on an Evo X puts it way ahead of a stock or bolt on 370Z even up top.

By up top I mean above 100 all the way until the Evo X hits fuel cut. Matter of fact, let me say it this way, an Evo X can pick up 80-100+ WHP from a tune, so a stock or bolt on tuned Evo X will rape a stock or bolt on 370Z at any speed until the Evo X hits fuel cut(which with a tune can be raised to 8K which is around 170mph). When you're talking about 300 crank HP vs. 440 crank HP then even your "top end superior gearing" is not going to make up for 100 WHP. Hell it won't even make up for 40 WHP.

Yes you can tune the 370Z also, but you'll pick up 15 WHP, not 80-100.

Yes you can always wait until the Evo X hits the rev limiter so you can take time to catch up but I am not currently aware of any motorsport that would give you that opportunity.

drag= lose
autocross= lose
roadcourse= lose
time attack= lose

race on the highway and max out the rev limiter until your top speed gearing eventually catches you up after the Evos gearing runs out= lose for whoever the hell participates in that.

That's assuming that the 370Z has the gearing to go above 165(stock 7600 rpm fuel cut of Evo X) or 170 MPH.
