Propeller shaft replacement

I've been having gear whine/metal grinding sounds so I took her to the dealership to see what the problem was. They couldnt find out what the problem was so they had to call some engineers. Long story short they said that the propeller shaft was the problem and it'll be 1800 to fix. I never heard of this problem. Just wanted to know if anyone can tell me if their right or has this replaced also. I have 39000 miles also

Did they mention which part is going bad? I just balanced one and in one direction my yoke had a bit more resistance than the other.

Price is a bit whacked. Doesn't AWD Motorsports have an aluminum one for a similar price?

I promise you its your acd! Never heard of prop shaft failure except by xbox who ran over something.

Bro get a Second opinion. I bet the noise is very pronounced in 4th,5th while lightly on the gas.

It was just like how you described it before but now it does it in all gears and only when I accelerate. Th e noise has also gotten louder with a distinct metal on metal sound
