SST or GSR

Hi everyone
I'm just new here
and I'm planning to buy an EVO X within 2 or 3 days
I'm not expert in mechanics
I'm planning to get the car for daily drive with stock engine parts stock turbo so maybe it will not exceed 400 hp

and I've heard that sst transmission cannot take the 400 hp, is this true ?
what is your advice to go with gsr or sst ?

You wont hit 400whp on the stock turbo. The sst will be fine for you. The gsr 5 speed manual is not fun for dd if you ask me. I've had both. Sst is way nicer.

I love my manual for DD, it works just fine. Honestly, just search the site, this topic has been rehashed many times.

SST Achilles heel: Can't service transmission = $12000 anvil hanging over your head it something electronic decides to frizz out.

Meh, if I was going to stick with stock turbo and stock motor? I think the MR could be a hell of a lot more fun as a daily.

i just got rid of my gsr b/c i couldn't live with it as a dd. if i had the mr, i would still be in a evo. if you plan to turn the gsr into a track car, then yeah get the gsr. otherwise the mr is the way to go. the gsr clutch longevity sucks!!!! fu mitsub!!!!

I don't really think the GSR is any more "unlivable" than any other manual car on the market.
