yes .. seems like the COOLDOWN warning is set very low .. we'll know for sure on the track .. but tracking the daily drive .. temps are AMBIENT when you're moving .. and around max of 130-150F in start-stop traffic
Well I'm going to attempt to install the AutoMeter Nexus TransTemp soon, so I was hoping someone had one already but if not I'll make sure to report back with pics once I get it done, still waiting on the gauge and gauge pod but I might install the sensor even without the pod to start.
I'd like to get the reading from in the tranny, like most trannies, so I'll see what I can find, I don't want to trust the internal sensor I'd like a secondary one.
I would like to see a vendor to build a larger trans cooler with a fan and trans temp gauge. Have the fan connected to the sensor, so it only turns on when its hot.
Does any one know what temp when the SLOW DOWN light triggers?
Sadly .. I don't think ATF fluid temp is the cause of the trigger .. :wtfsign:
I'm working on another angle now .. and I think TheSin has it correct ..
