Due to the fact that large MAF cars (3.5") tend to have tend to have a more erratic idle, I've been setting them up lately so that they run idle off of the MAP sensor. Of course, this requires some tweaking to the MAP tables. Here's the setup I'm using with good results. Enjoy.
So I have a car that I'm tuning.
Stock fuel system
MAP 6266 Turbo kit
Crank case vent goes to catch can, not back into the intake
I wanted to scale the MAF before I scaled the MAP, injectors, etc. So I did what I typically do for a 3.5"...
Lately I've been scaling a lot of MAFs, primarily in cars that have upgraded fuel pumps and FPRs. I've spent a TON of time getting them dialed in correctly, and being the anal bastard that I am, I tend not to call it "good enough" until I'm near zero.
If you're not familiar with MAF scaling...
