Salvage title? That means it was a total loss. It would take quite a shot in the rear to be deemed a total loss. One of my teammates got rear ended a few months back by a truck in his '04 Evo and it wasn't deemed a total loss. Both rear quarters were destroyed, back windshield shattered and there was frame damage on the rear unibody. The insurance adjuster couldn't get the damage assessment near the total loss threshold and my friend was given a check to get the car repaired.I'm working on getting a salvaged one for about $16k...its an 06 MR with 9k miles...I'd take it over a new X, but only because of the price...it was hit in the rear end and fixed by a dealer.
Black on black, its gorgeous!
On a rear end impact vehicle, I would be surprised that the cat-back exhaust survived, especially if it was a total loss. If I were you, I would pay a body specialist to look at the car first. Pay a little now to save a lot later, or save a little now to pay a lot later. It has a BOV and cat-back exhaust, and a new DVD headunit...what do you think....yay or nay? I'd get rid of the BOV if I got it, but keep the rest.
Broken and missing lug smells of problems all over it. IMO I wouldn't do that I think you will find more and more things wrong with it.He said the only damage was to the ds quarter panel and rear door...he said it was an easy fix....but I agree, easy fixes don't get salvaged titles.
Link to car....
I'd say salvaged or not..its worth $16k...
