The 2012 Audi TT RS Plus has officially bowed at the Geneva Motor Show. The stunning little coupe packs the same 360 horsepower and 343 pound-feet of torque as the TT RS we know and love here in the States, but with around 100 fewer pounds to lug around. Audi still isn't saying where the weight savings comes from, though we'd wager the coupe boasts lighter seats and less crash garb than its U.S. counterpart. Even with the all-wheel drive coupe's slimmer curb weight, the TT RS Plus still does the 0-62 mph dash in 4.1 seconds, which is identical to the standard TT RS we played with not too long ago.

Does that make us love the two-door any less? Hell no. The brawny turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine under the hood is a thing of beauty and the two-tone wheels and eye-searing red paint are absolute traffic stoppers. Did we mention it tops out at 174 mph? Job done.Continue reading 2012 Audi TT RS Plus is a diet we can live with

this is a car that we can compare to an evo X. Its AWD, turbo, handles well, roughly the same HP and tourqe as most Euro Evo's, I would have one!! but I would choose an Evo X everytime over a TT.

Ive seen and heard a few and they sound a bit like an evo on boost IMO.

It is Audis answer to an Evo..lol

I like this car! On another note... Has anyone noticed a slight rise in the AWD+Turbo market of new cars these days? Or is it just me.....

"the TT RS Plus still does the 0-62 mph dash in 4.1 seconds" yiikkess.. I don't know if it would be much of a competition.

We can drive off road though =) ??

yes but Audi have done what us Mitsi Evo drivers have always wanted Mitsubishi to do... build a 2.0ltr coupe with 4 seats, a turbo and AWD!!

Mitsi need to watch out as Toyota and Subaru are almost joining in with their new coupes.

@Spikester: I think they are called the Scion FR-S and the Subaru BRZ if I'm not mistaken. Both versions are RWD instead of AWD. Also, they aren't turbocharged (although I think Subaru will bring out a nice cure to that issue some time after the BRZ's release).

Thread rescue!.lol I noticed we started getting a little off topic. Haha. The TT RS is a sweet vehicle though. I haven't bumped into one yet. I usually see the base 2011 and '12 Audi TT's running around town.
