Hey, new guy here. New to evos but not new to cars, by a long shot.

I picked her up December 12th of last year, and its been a blast ever since. Got it with 5600 miles on the dash.

Soon after, I was hungry for more so I picked up a Tomei CBE and could not be happier with it.

The day I picked her up

First official "meet and cruise" of the year, this was sometime in February. Indiana weather is fickle, it was 70 degrees on Saturday and 20 by Monday.

Shot of the Titanium Top Speed Pipes I picked up. Wasn't going to buy these if the dealer hadn't sent me a refund check!

Dyno Day at WSRD. After the group left for the meet, I had a 1-1 tune session with John, who brought it from stock tune to 328 WHP. I was more than pleased on the 2 hr ride home.

This little guy has always been fascinated with the EVO. Even more so than his father's fiesta and everyone else's car in the group

We tend to work on our cars in the parking lots haha

By far one of my favorite shots I've taken of the car.

There is still plenty more left on the table with her. I plan on FBO's by next spring. Already have over half the parts waiting at home. My living room is getting full. Goal is anywhere from 400-500 WHP when all said and done. With my plan of a 3076 and Flex Tuned, I don't forsee that being a problem with other supporting mods to be added when she returns for the retune.

So, its been a while.

Since I've picked up the car, and had it tuned, its ran flawlessly. Except for the stock clutch! Swapped that out on my own over Christmas break last year. I was a fun and challenging experience. Since the tune, however, I have slowly been accumulating parts and pieces to push myself into a higher level of power.

Plans quickly changed from a simple "MHI18k" centered build to all out carnage. I happened upon a great deal on a built 2.2 stroker engine put together by Evolution Dynamics, and have since then been hitting the parts bin hard.

New intercooler, complete fuel system including a surge tank and a programmable fuel pump controller, and a plethora of other goodies are ready to install. Currently still in a dillema, as to how long I should wait to install the engine. I'm planning on running an EFR 8374 kit, but unsure if I want to wait until that is purchased and ready, or if I want to get a decent upgrade turbo for the stroker in the meantime to be a "step up" to the EFR life.

Decisions, decisions. I do know I am more than excited to be as close as I am to the end of this chapter of the build. It's an incredible car, and I can't wait to see it beyond its full potential.

So, its been a while.

It wasnt "that bad". It took me a while, since I was doing it over christmas break and it wasn't exactly warm in the garage at all times. 75% of the work I did myself, cursing at myself for trying to take short cuts and not asking for a second hand when I really needed it. Took me about 20 hours over the course of the few days I chipped at it. Lot of smoke breaks, lot of time taken to ensure I wasn't doing anything wrong. This was also on jack stands.

If I was to do it again, I could probably tackle it in a day.

Props to you for taking that on. I love working on cars but anything related to the transmission always scares me lol
