I hope that equates right in the US market. It will probably go up a little. So, about US$34,200 (at today's rates of exchange) for my JDM EVO X GSR with 5MT and various accessories. That sounds downright affordable!
You mentioned you are #20 on a pre-order list, but for which dealer? I do not think they will be getting 20 vehicles for the year. But if you are serious expect to move up the list.If only we can do that here in the Canada without worrying about the mark-ups
Lol i posted this on evoM...
I ordered mine at newtype mitsubishi in Richmond. I was wondering if i should take that deposit else where...but i think it ll be too late now?You mentioned you are #20 on a pre-order list, but for which dealer? Nah, I think you should call around and see how many deposits are taken and how many cars the dealer expects to get. Anyway, maybe someone else will not want the car and you will move up the list.I ordered mine at newtype mitsubishi in Richmond. I am going to learn how to drive a stick soon, so either is fine. I am leaning towards SST though because of the BBS rims. If I can pick the BBS rims with GSR then that is cool too. I need to test drive both.Nah, I think you should call around and see how many deposits are taken and how many cars the dealer expects to get. How many evo x's do you think Canada will get, then how many dealers are there, and do the math. Small markets will get fewer and large markets will get more, but even then I do not expect the Richmond, Vancouver, Toronto dealers to get more than a dozen cars each, and most likely less than that.
Did you want the 5MT or SST, and what colour do you want?
Im also a member of evoM since 2004 but with 8 post only until now I normally don't post. evoM has quite few evo x haters.
I learned to drive manual 19 years ago in an old Datsun wagon, and later improved my technique in a CRX, Tercel, Prelude, MINI Cooper and lastly a MINI Cooper S. I am at a point now where I want a fun car in which I am involved physically in the performance of the vehicle. I currently drive a CVT Escape Hybrid and, while it is a great vehicle, it is boring to drive. If I want video game style driving I'll play with my PS3.I am going to learn how to drive a stick soon, so either is fine. I am leaning towards SST though because of the BBS rims. DAMN IT! should have done this earlierrr! I have to phone my sales tomorrow!
Exactly. That's the key reason I started this forum. Many previous evo owners do nothing but talk smack on the X. I'd rather not hear their negative views on the car constantly, which is why we're here. Spread the word if you can.yeah it's pretty sad how some members over at evoM put down this car. I get tired of reading every day over and over. Thats why i'm now a member over here.
