Here's a little good news for any of you that may have the on-going problem with you 5-speed manual not wanting to go into or stay in reverse. I've had the problem with my '08 GSR since new. Forum posts indicate that others have suffered the same "inconvenience". I had the tranny torn down at the dealer w/only 700 miles on it and it wasn't any better. With about 12K on the car now I finally got sick of it and took it back to the dealer (still on warrantee) and played the Lemon Law card. Short story: my car now has a new "factory sealed" tranny and shifts into ALL gears just great.
