I just bought a set of Varrstoen wheels in 9,5 x 18 +12. I know they are pretty wide, and I know they dont fit without modifications, does anyone have experiences what needs to be done to make them fit properly?

I was also thinking of replacing the front fenders to wider ones, what options do I have here?

Thanks

Those should fit fine as long as you roll your fenders. I'm assuming you mean those are 18x9.5 +12.

You think so?

Really looking forward to get them, they should arrive by end of next week.

A friend told me, that the rear could be a problem cause of some piece of metal that holds the rear bumper?? Thats acutally the reason why I am worried a bit.

Yeah, you have to heat that up and cut it off. I'm gonna have to do the same thing once I put my Star Specs back on. There's a good video how-to on youtube.

might have to pull the fenders too...
Or run a little more negative camber. I don't think you'd have to pull with 9.5 inch wide wheels.

Yeah of course that would be much better, but I dont see a way to fit that properly :(
Wha? They'll fit just fine. I have 265s on (which are really 275s cuz they're Star Specs) and I haven't even rolled yet. The offset is less, but after a roll those will be fine. Stretching your 245s will be nearly as wide, just with less sidewall.

With +12 you will DEFINITELY have to roll and possibly mod the front wheel well plastic shit
Plastic shit is in the rear. And yes, definitely have to roll. But there are plenty of people running 10.5 inch wide RPF1s with a +15 offset on here. My real point was that stretching a 245 on a wider rim is going to be nearly as wide as a 265 anyway.

Yeah that for sure, I know

Your right on that but alot of people that have those wide rims on their car didnt lower the car much. At the moment I have H&R springs installed and it drives and looks like shit to be honest. I will get a new KW suspension installed soon and the car will end up beeing very low, thats the thing I am worried about.

Your also right with the tire, but there still is a diffrence and the 245 will save some space.

But I guess except for the plastic shit in the rear the whole thing shouldnt be to much of a problem.

I will mount just one rim withouth an tire to check what I need to do for sure.

:yeahthat:

Camber doesn't kill tires guys, toe does. You can add some decent camber, up to ~-2.1 up front and ~-3 rear on stock suspension, to fit those big lipped bitches under the fenders. If you try to fit that offset with stock -1 camber good luck...
