Hey so I was wondering if 26psi of boost is too high? I am currently running the AP stage 1 HKS 91octane and peaking at 26.2psi...the only mods I have are CBE and the hks drop in. Is it harmful to be boosting so high? and should I install the stage 1 HKS 91 low wastegate? I couldnt too much info on the Low wastegate maps. Thanks any help would be greatly appreciated

This is too much boost for this map, I don't recall what the stage 1 maps were supposed to hit (maybe 24?), but if I can recall it wasn't 26psi. This extra boost could make you run lean and cause knock. People generally stay away from the stage 1 maps and use the stage 2 ones even when on stock exhaust. Try running the stage 2 LWG map and see how it goes. Lots of people have had issues with the stage 1 maps not being good fits for their cars.

Did you remove the boost pill? Are you supposed to remove the pill for stage 1? Or only for stage2? I can't recall but double check I think that may only be for stage 2 maps and may be causing your overboost condition.

Im actually not too educated when it comes to these things, sorry for asking but I dont even know how to remove the boost pill. As far as running the stage 2 map. I thought it was only for ppl who have turbo backs. Have there even been cases where it can be harmful? If not I wouldnt mind trying it, I didnt feel that much of a difference between stock and stage 1 like everyone else. Maybe I should just try it, Just didnt want to have any issues later. Thanks!

Stage 1 causes too much knock. Stage 2 is simply safer. As far as the boost pill goes, Cobb only suggest removing the boost pill if you are NOT reaching desired boost. Try the stage 2 LWG. Do some log pulls, and check your peak boost.

So after switching to Stage 2 HKS 91 octane I did several runs and The highest it peaked was 26.5psi with an average of 26psi...Is that normal for the stage 2 or is that still too high? Car felt very smooth though I must say, and as long as am not harming anything I prefer the way this map feels the best. Let me know guys. thanks!

Dude, seriously... Yes it may be too much boost if you are knocking like crazy or your AFR's are lean, you can still "feel smooth" even though the ECU is yanking timing unless you are attuned to the feel of 1* being pulled.

Log it...post it, then we can tell you. 26psi is normal for stage 2. What is happening to your engine, who knows. All you are telling us is you are reaching your boost goals. Relax, drink a beer, hit a bong, select the logging feature and upload...

Sorry, not trying to be an ass but I am just trying to get the logging part to sink in eventually...

Sorry I guess im clueless when it comes to this. Where on the AP do I go to find out my pulls? Theres several options in the data logs menu...Again sorry for these amateur questions. Wish I knew more about this stuff. I'll take a look at the options to see which it could be. Thanks

You can download accesstuner race. It is a free program on cobb's website. all you need is the serial code on the back.

First, you need to download accesstuner race. It is a free program on cobb's website. This is the only way you can view your logs from the accessport. all you need is the serial code on the back.
What are you talking about, you can view them in Excel, Evoscan, etc? They are standard CSV files.

Well I stand corrected! I've never tried opening them another way. Edited.

So I finally got a chance to log some runs with the HKS stage 2 91 octane map..again I only have catback exhaust though...I have 5 different runs on this log(sorry its all on one file, I have them seperated though)..can I get some input about if this map is safe?? Not sure but the knock levels seem pretty normal except for the last run, which kinda concerns me..Let me know what you guys think of these numbers...Thanks!
