So my headlights came in. Since i dont have access to my car i cant find out for myself. Here is the headlights

And here is the rear with the wiring harness.

Is that what the stock harness looks like?

Now its been awhile since i've messed with headlights and quite frankly, hate messing with them.

Parts i have is...

Headlights
JRox wiring relay harness
DDM Tuning 6000k HID's.

How in the hell do these all connect together. I'm looking at pictures of the connectors and it looks like its all different types. I understand the jrox harness plugs into the hid's. His instructions shows a connector going to the headlights, which doesnt exist on my new ones. Has someone done this setup before.

Are these the headlights that have the Audi look?

not exactly, but they do have a led strip above the orange reflector, its not really bright (from what i can tell by the picture on the website i bought it from). That being said, ill be disconnecting the wires for the led's.

Did Jrox do a write up?
he did but it still leaves a few questions. I sent him a pm asking these questions.

1. his harness has two male 9006 connectors that plug into the HID ballast. What happends with the 9006 connectors from the HID's?

2. He says to connect the female 9006 plug into the male plug of the headlights (im assuming the stock harness from the car). However, that would leave the female connector of the HID kit, no where to connect to.

I'm guessing, and i ask him to confirm that with the + wire running to the battery that would supply the power to the hid's, thus not needing to connect the two male 9006 connectors from question 1. I'm also guessing the signal from the car goes through his relay harness via the female 9006 connect, and controls both HID's, thus not requiring the female connectors from question 2 to be connected.

What bulb type does the the low beam projector take? Pop the cover off and have a look...
If you can, take a pic inside so I can see what's going on with the low beam wiring...
Hopefully the projector use's a "H" series bulb ie. HB3 (aka 9006)... If so you're laughing

^^ bugger!!! Wrong "H" series bulb...

Where do the black and blue wires exit from the headlight?
They obviously run from the back of the bulb and what looks like it makes it's way to the bottom of the headlight (from the inside). Where is the exit point from underneath if this is what I'm thinking it does??

not a damn clue...lol. I'm in afghanistan so my girlfriend has been taking the pictures. Either way it shouldnt matter the bulb type or where the wire is, once i remove the stock bulb for the hid bulb, it wont be needed. Correct?

^^ looking at this pic I am going to make the assumption that the black & blue low beam wires run all the way across and exit the cap from the high beam housing. Let's leave the wiring for now and talk about your aftermarket HID kit install..

You are obviously going to need to drill a hole in either one of 2 places:
* back of low beam waterproof cap*
OR
* bottom of housing adjacent to cap (this is the better option)
Because you'll be installing the ballast outside of the HL and the wiring will need to be fed inside to the back of the projector.

Here's a pic of JRox's harness:
JRox Harness

You'll see the two 9006 plugs that connect to your aftermarket ballasts... You should also see the opposite side 9006 plug to the left...

Remember the black and blue wires we talked about earlier???
Well that H7 plug is not compatible. You will need to convert it to 9006. There are 2 ways you can do this:
1. Get yourself a "H7 to 9006 adaptor"
This will feed from the same hole that you made for the ballast wiring

OR

2. If you have a soldering iron / solder / electrical tape.... Get a "9006 connector" and splice it directly to the black & blue wires AFTER the high beam waterproof cap

This plug connects to the corresponding plug of JRox's harness... This connection sends the signal to the relay which then sends the signal to both ballasts...
You will only need to add this 9006 plug to the Drivers side headlight ONLY (Battery side).... The H7 plug on the passenger's HL will be disconnected and left redundant inside...

Sorry this explanation is a bit of a mouthful... It's also beneficial for other members wanting these aftermarket HLs...

I question the projector quality/output on these after market headlights...
Most of the newer aftermarket hl run similar projectors as the universal retrofit lenses (h1 mini etc) so the cutoff should be similar to stock SSs. Search h1 mini to see an example of aftermarket retrofit lens output. Ebay companies have been catching up and figuring out that light output and cutoff is important to buyers.
