Well, its been a week since I ordered my CAI from amsperformance. I check back daily, and still see that my order is "processing"
The payment went through so I don't understand what the hold up is. I just wanted to get a few lines and ask, "Would you have canceled your order and asked for a refund by now?"
Any feedback is appreciated...

I would ask for my money back, unless they actually posted it was on back order. When I like to be clear when doing business. To me if the item is back ordered and it wasn't listed that way, that's not being clear. I'd hate to say but that's a bit deceptive since you're led to believe your item will be in your hands shortly.

I ordered my FMIC from AMS March 24th, I called 2 weeks later asking why it hadnt been shipped. They said there were some delays on material and that they would have them ready to roll on April 28th. Its a week later and Still nothing.

I would definitley keep bugging them for more info.

From a business's point of view, the last thing you want to do is keep bugging them. They know about your order. They're busting their ass to fill it. Bugging them about it is probably only going to annoy them and waste their time. At the end of the day, you're not going to get your parts any faster, and the only thing you accomplished is wasting everyone's time.

If you're into modifying cars, get used to waiting for parts. Sometimes materials take time, sometimes the machine shop takes time, etc. Things happen. Just make sure you buy from a company that is trying their best to serve you and not jerking you around. Delays WILL happen in this business, it's inevitable.

If a company tells you that something is on backorder, respect their word, and give them the time they specify until you start bugging them.

Seriously? As a customer you have the right to know what is going on with your order. It doesn't sound like he has ANY INFO on what the delay is so he is entitled to bugging them until he has an explanation as to what is happeneing with his order.

AMS was really good with me, when my stuff went on back order, they actually called me and told me. They also called me with an update about 3 or 4 days before it shipped, then the day it actually shipped they called me as well. I was rather impressed with how they conducted themselves.

That is where I'm coming from. I had no info that their would be a delay in shipping. A week passed, and on Friday I emailed in the morning. Their is no number on their site, if you click contact us, its an email link, and their email they sent the day the payment processed said email if you have any questions. Well it got to be late in the day on Friday, so I emailed again, and again no response, so I was going to ask for a refund today if this poll and the one on the other forum said yes.
But thank goodness, it shipped. I just feel that if its backordered that should be upfront, and their should be a viable method of contacting the company, especially when they have your money. I am okay with delays, its lack of response & information that I thought was bad business. I wanted to get everyone else's opinion though. Especially since ya'll are more likely to know the company history and product quality than I am. Thank you all for your feedback. And after posting on the thread, and my email attempts to contact both got responses from the company, I am satisfied. I can't wait till it gets here and I can see if its as good as it appears. It's 11 pounds, including packaging, so negative their, but if it flows, it flows and I like their partnership with a strong company like K&N so we'll see. I've heard very good things so my hopes are very high.

Oh, I agree. But in the event that they say something is on backorder and they'll let you know when it's going to be in as soon as they get word, take their word for it. I'm not sure if that is the case here.
Yeah, if that was the case it would have all been cool. I may not have ordered yet and waited for more reviews and products to be out, like something from apexi, but I'm kewl now. I've heard alot of good things about AMS since I posted this thread so :+1:
