I was wondering if anyone has done this? i just ordered an AMS intake w/o the bungs and i ordered the bungs from AMS, So has anyone done this custom install if so what drill bit did you use to install?

I kind of did. I took out the grommets on the intake and just welded the nipples on there. Same thing.

There were already pre-existing holes where the grommets went in. If they werent there then I would have drilled, then welded.

oh really? i asked the guy from AMS he said there were no pre-exisiting holes.. thats why i started this thread

I believe AMS sells two types of intakes, one with an one without. You should be able to get either or.

id get the order change to one with the bung or buy a caugh can and tune it out. dont suggest drilling and adding bung if there is leak it will cause idle issues and loss of boost.
