I junmjbhmst installed my ams rail and id 1000cc injectors. Should there be any up and down movement? I can take the injector by the plug in and pull up from the manifold toward the rail and vice versa. This is my first time using both so I don't know whick would be the cause, but I do know with my old rail and injectors there wasn't this much movement...

Any help would be great!

The rail is secured down and the injectors move around up and down they aren't coming out or anything but they move between the 2 points. I know the rail sandwiches the injectors between the manifold.

Thanks man! If I grab the injector by the plug in I and pull it out of the manifold about 1/8 to 1/4 an inch or so... might be normal just making sure!
No man, I got no play in mine. That would give me pause.

did you installed the O-ring on the injectors??

On top of the injectors there is something that secures them to the fuel rail, I think you might be missing that.

My vote is the o rings like Demon said. I put in a set of id 1000s on the stock rail and it definitely needed the stock injectors top o rings for a proper fit.

By the description, my guess is you didn't take the old injectors off of the stock rail since you were replacing both.

I sold the stock injectors a while back. The new injectors have o-rings on both ends are you saying I should be using 2 sets of o-rings on the top side of the injector?
Did you use the plastic OEM spacers for the rail?

Also I seen some up and down movement. I would just set them against the top of the rail.

Yeah I used the factory black spacers. So push them to the rail side? It isn't like they are all wobbly the o-rings are doing there jobs that way there is just no way an o-ring will stop the up and down motion. I guess the only way to see that it is okay is to pressurize it and see if they leak...
