Has anyone used a 4port instead of a 3 port mac valve? just curious on how it performed and how you ran the lines.

The only easy way you can use a 4 port on our car is to use a two port wastegate can.

That being said, its used like a traditional 2 port, with the "normally closed" side being plumbed in front of the diaphragm, and the "normally open" side being plumbed to the back of the can like a 3 port would work.

They would be great for a car that has low speed surge issues, with a higher boost limit, where the benefits of a 2 port can really start to shine.

For most all other setups, it't not worth the added expense of purchasing a new wastegate can.

I am using a Mac 4 port on my T4 dual EWG setup, connected to both the EWGs.
1 port of the Mac on upper top of EWGs
1 port of the Mac on lower top of EWGs
1 port as boost reference (directly on the turbocharger)
And last port on the atmosphere

The only drawback is that you lose in terms of sensitivity when trying to tune it. Meaning that by small changes in duty cycle, you have large effect in boost pressure.
The big advantage is that you can reach huge boost pressure with very low pressure springs into the EWGs.
