Street or light track use: Kw V3 stock or Robi spec Streets, Ohlins R&T or ASTs 4100 with low spring rates.

Track: Kw club sports or Robi spec Club Sports, Ohlins with set up from Muller or GT worx, AST 4100s or 5100 or more aggressive springs, JRZs

In the order of expense

I am rocking KW's on the WRX and love them for the street. Considering swapping out my Bilstein+SWIFT Spec R's for a set on the Evo.

IMO not worth it for street driving. The Ohlins are really the only one capable of decent street comfort, and you pay for it.

Track 2-3 times a year and maybe, but welcome to all the problems of noise, settings that move around all the time, and rough riding.

Stock bilstiens with a lower spring with a stiffer rate is such a good deal and you get 75% of the benefits of coils without any drawbacks.

this

I'm running GTWorx springs with Bilsteins on mine right now and they blow all the budget coilover options out of the water. A real performance spring designed for the Evo X - not some cheaply adapted universal spring like Eibach's or Teins. They got the perfect amount of spring rate AND suspension travel.

I frequently autocross and plan to compete all of 2012. I have yet NOT placed first in class or below top10 overall. Most people don't need coils, and those that do aren't buying cheap BC ones.

GTWorx springs all the way. I plan to do a full review on them when 2012 starts and have more auto-x events done.

Kind of a broad question, wanna clarify what your goals are and what the car will be mainly used for? Looks? Want absolutely no body roll? Don't care how bumpy the ride gets? It gets old sometimes :/
not if you have a wife with big boobs :D

lol..

But really OP, i suggest you go find a friend with coilovers and take a ride in his car for an hour and see how you like it. I refuse to have any wheel gap and body roll - but i cant goto some gas stations and i have to drive very careful around every speed bump/rail road tracks etc. Last time i was in Utah, the roads fucking sucked so its your choice.

I hv BC coilovers for 2years already and the r still in great shape, last month I decided to lift a lil bit the back, and since i didnt touch the coilovers since I installed them, I was expecting to have some hard time with the threads. But no, it was easy to loose them up, and there was no rust or signs of deterioration.

BTW the Evo X MR from SSP (Jeremy) has BC coilovers and that car has won numerous races

BCs are the best for the money, and for what it's worth, a friend with ohlins drove my car the other day and said they felt about the same. I would expect his to perform better on track, but I put the $2200 I saved in other places, so he wouldn't be able to keep up anyways :)
