I’ve had the same problem mine only happens when I get on it though. But will reset if I turn the car off and back on. Also I noticed it only started when I switched to an open dump
That will happen if you hit somewhere in the 28-30 PSI range (reports vary). Sometimes when temps drop, the EBC will go past target.
So I’ve sorted the problem, I changed every single vacuum hose on the turbo setup now it’s peaking 17 and holding around 13psi does that sound about right?
As mentioned above it’s overboost mine did this for a while until I figured out bov was leaking
yeah it’s all sorted now, I replaced every single vacuum line in the turbo setup. Only problem now is it’s slow as a snail 😭
17 lbs is not normal..

what should I be boosting? It feels terribly slow, all I did was replace all the vacuum lines it stopped the leak but made it very slow holds only 15psi now

21-22psi tapering to about 16psi at around redline

So if I was getting over 30 and getting into limp mode why do you think it’s so low after replacing all off the vacuum hoses? Thanks
when you replaced the vac hoses assuming it is stock .. the boost lines has restrictors inside is also removed.. what most of us call the boost pills. that can account for the loss in boost pressure.

You can get this warning (ASC service) too if your wheelspeed sensors or ABS sensors are going or has gone.

Thank you this is very helpful I appreciate it, so how would I get the boost lines to be better? Yes it’s stock apart from intake and top pipe.

I replaced the boost hose with 3mm hoses
When you changed the hoses you removed the restrictor "pills"

I apologize for bringing up this old thread. I had a similar issue with my car. The ABS wheel speed sensor malfunctioned. I confirmed it when I plugged in my ABS scanner, and then the code popped up, which confirms the ABS needs a change. I did a lot of searches on this issue and came across an in-depth article that may be worth reading. Search for "Mitsubishi ASC Service Required Warning on YOUCANIC" and you will see an article that goes over common causes and possible fixes. You can read about it yourself. I hope this information can assist someone else with a similar issue.
