Comes good in the end Micheal, but the start is a bit worrying with the revelation of only a marginal increase in power and 110kg more weight....

I'm happy to hear that the SST trans works a treat and is prefered over the basic manual - I'll definitely opt for SST if I get one, but our pricing here in Aust. is extremely high, looks like the SST variant will cost us the better part of 75k drive away....damn !

With the Aussie dollar almost hitting parity with the U.S dollar, it shows you how much more we're paying for cars over here....the U.S will be able to buy it at half that price....

At $75,000 ....driveaway they wont be selling one to me in a hurry , the wife wants a Mercedes C class BMW 3 series coupe or 135 i coupe :uzi: or New AUDI A4 or TT and the new Nissan Z badge for those type of $$$$.Last but not forgotten the revised Mazda RX8

The most i am prepared to pay for the MR TC SST IS $65,000 on road , i am certain the price will adjust over time the Mazda RX8 dropped by $10,000 from its 1st year pricing .

$ 75,000 for a non prestige brand is big $$$$ in a very competitive market , i think Australia dealers wont be selling them as readily as they would like .

Cheers
Michael

Nice little video. I would have hoped a trip to japan just to drive the thing would have been more productive though. Since they had the GSR, the 4MT MR, and the SST MR all on the track together, I was expecting them to have them all go at it to see just what the difference was. I was kind of let down that they didn't.

...sorry...?
I was thinking out loud :)

In the U.S the Evo 10 will cost somewhere between 30-40k - correct ?

Here in Australia it looks like costing up to 75k.....

I know there are many other factors involved in price setting for cars in different markets, but since recently the Aussie dollar has almost 'hit par' with the U.S dollar, I'm relunctant to pay so much...hopefully there will be an adjustment and the price drops on most cars here in Aust. :)

Oh man!!! First I thought it would be a 6 speed, then I read that it would be a 5 speed, now you are saying it will only have 4 manual speeds???
