Boy36 beat me to it. Anyway, this is more evidence of why the MR is not hitting US streets while the GSR is doing the work of making a good first impression. Just goes to show that this car is not going to be about drag-strip times. The GSR is going to have to shoulder the burden of establishing bragging rights for the stop light racers. The MR is looking more and more like a Gentleman's Track Car / DD. Still beat the S3!

Evo x 300 sst tested,

The above was tested in the latest auto express,
The fiqures are not that great, Given its weight and power its about right,
0-60mph in 5.2 / 0-100mph in 13.7,, evo x,,
0-60mph in 4.7/ 0-100mph in 12.9,, impreza sti,,
0-60mph in 5.6/ 0-100mph in 13.8,, audi s3,,

I like that road test. That english chap really sums it up> Subaru old style handling , Evo X new exciting dynamic handling. In most of these tests I don't pay attention to the power specs and times 'cause I know the STi is .5 bigger and lighter to start. We have the ability to change that easily and with minimal mods. So what if the STi is a bit faster 0-60...it's the handling that pwns' the Subaru in almost every test:godance:. That's exactly why I dumped Subies' for a new X..I got fed up with the dead end handling. Sure you can 'make' a subie handle but with the X I'm not muscling the car...it does most of the work

This is the SST, anyway, so the 0-60 & 1/4 speeds are slower mostly due to the tranny. The Subie was not faster than the MT GSR in MT's comparo despite it's weight and displacement disadvantages:

So, with the MT the X is equal or better on every score.

^right I knew that but most of the time it's close whichever model they are talking about...except for the handling part. Evo is winning all those battles. .2 here or there whatever. Both are fast. We know that. What's outstanding between the two is the Evo Chasis and that means the most to me. So we all mod and end up with similar power...the X is always going to handle better
