So is this a previous year problem? I havent seen any 2011 Evo's do this. Did you guys have issues getting the pump replaced under warrenty? Since the fp red will look stock, they might not notice it but will still blame it on my tune or something else. Also people are saying its caused by the oil, is there a thinner oil we can go with for the winter months. I'm really glad my car is in a heated storage unit right now..lol.

It has to be the 2008's. You don't see any 2009 and up on this list yet.

had this happen to me in calgary this week. Please contact me for my details
[email protected]

had a meeting today with the service manager at Platinum and he recommended i speak to Mitsu Cananda. The only contact i have to them is their form on their site. I send them my issue on tuesday and still no reponse. Quoted $3400 for the fix.
I dont wanna have to sell my car but if there is no resolution from Mitsu, i have no choice.

This could always be an option for you. Even with shipping it would be a hell of a lot cheaper then from Mitsubishi.

Thanks for the info. I have however already sent the letter to Mitsubishi but it will still help if they do scan the forum to see exactly how many just on here are claiming to have this issue let alone how ever many others who are not even a part of this forum or who haven't posted but still have this issue

I may be part of this list. I had the AWC service required light go on 2 weeks ago, and it went off a few hours later. As of this morning 10 minutes into my hour drive to work it is back :( Ill see if I can pull the code this week and will most likely be putting all my info down as I hear this is a reoccuring issue.

Well I hate to bring bad news but I have Contacted Mitsubishi Canada a number of times and AMVIC (Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council) and have have zero luck with getting anything resolved with this pump... At $3,800 every winter to replace it when warranty is over, I am at the point were I am probably just going to sell my Evo when I am off my warranty.. Thats the cost of a new engine every winter...

They are only about $700 slightly used. That isn't TOO bad, but if you have to do it every year......yeah, to hell with that.
