Keep an eye on the Cores. Some of the cheaper models/older versions have 4 cores and 2GB and are pokey. Also, I've had 2 of these (my Evo, wife's Ralliart) and they both got dust between the LCD and outer screen which was super annoying. I guess that's what you get from the Chinese brands that you would avoid with a Pioneer/Alpine/Sony/etc.
I'm talking specifically about units with the PX6 chip, 4GB RAM and 64GB memory and a 10" screen. You can find several under different brand names with identical or almost identical specs. I don't know if they are all from the same manufacturer and they are just rebranded by different sellers or if they are copies designed by different manufacturers. Among them the Sygav is the most expensive one. Again I'm not sure if the price difference reflects any real difference regarding its quality.
I have experience with 2 previous Chinese units with Win CE OS. The first one lasted about 3 years. Its PCB with the USB, DVD and SD card controller stopped working. I ordered a new PCB but the seller sent one with a different harness that couldn't get connected to my unit. He was about to sent a 2nd PCB, supposedly the correct one this time, but I requested a photo prior to the shipping and it turned out that he was about sending the same wrong PCB once again. Probably the PCB for my unit was not available any more.
I ordered a new head unit, also with Win CE, that lasted for 7 years, Now it refuses to turn on. (I checked its fuse and also the car's fuse and they are both fine. I also reseted the unit with no success.) I had no problems with it other than that it did not recognize external USB drives, they were getting regularly disconnected and rarely recognized, and that it stopped reading MP3s from the media microSD card after the first few thousands or maybe the first thousand and a half.
No dust issues with either of them.
