What you are guys with big turbos running for timing? On what Octane? With what turbo?

Under heavy load I usually see guys running mid-teens for timing on 93 octane in the midrange, ramping up to about 17* by 7000rpm.

After that, most people level off, but others run even hotter timing.

So that's on 10:1 COMP running E85? FP Black or what?
No, that was my old built motor setup, E85 9:1 comp on my FP black...2.0L.

Good lord, no wonder you put a rod through the block Murlo.
This wasn't the tune that put a rod through the block, this one spun the bearing, lol. But noted, I am not placing blame on anyone for what has happened really but I now understand how aggressive the tune was.

That is why I plan to have you check over the new tune :) Mainly just for a 2nd opinion if its conservative enough...I have already told my tuner the new setup needs to last and be conservative.

Yep

well, yes. and no. it depends on the tune as always
also depends on the built i guess.

Well, I spun a bearing, you be the judge. It can handle that boost and timing if the fuel is very good....but I don't think the fuel I had was quite good enough.
who built your previous motor?
